Franklin County Schools Sizzlin' Summer

Do your students think about the reasonableness of their answers? Do they choose the appropriate tools to solve math equations? Do they persevere when they are "stuck" on a math problem? This session will focus on the 8 Mathematical practices: what they are and how we can best use them in our daily math lessons. Participants will learn how to use the practices to help our students persevere and get "unstuck" when solving challenging math problems. Participants will gain an understanding of the 8 math practices and leave with ideas on how to implement them into their daily math lessons. For grades 1-5.
